Education & Background
Abbe is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a Designing Your Life (DYL) Coach with 25+ years of experience coaching individuals, teams, and groups, and is currently a social work intern at HMH learning the craft of therapy. Abbe has a Master of Applied Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a speciality in Workplace Diversity. Abbe is also pursuing her Master of Social Work at Rutgers University. Prior to joining HMH, Abbe was a behavioral health consultant-intern with Rutgers Health/RWJ Barnabus Health supporting patients within their OB/GYN practice and working with other clinicians within the Center for Integrated Care/UBHC.
Approach
Abbe works with clients around self-image and confidence, relationship patterns, career and professional growth, life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, ADHD, trauma and abuse, workplace challenges, and concerns related to food and eating. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and insight-oriented. Drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational techniques, Abbe helps clients deepen self-awareness, build effective coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change aligned with their values. Her background bridges coaching and clinical care, allowing her to meet clients with both practical insight and compassionate presence.
